In an effort to get this forum jump started, I'm posting this topic, for which EVERYONE should have an opinion. And no, Elvin Bishop in the PG gym doesn't count.

It's tough for me to limit myself to just five, but here goes:

1. Pink Floyd - The Wall, 1980, LA Sports Arena: unfortunately, the only time I got to see Pink Floyd, but man, what a show. One of their very few US appearances that tour, so I felt lucky to be seeing them.
2. Peter Gabriel - Up Tour, 2002, Oakland Arena. I've seen Gabriel a number of times, this was the best. He's amazing.
3. The Dead - Egypt 78 Tour, Pauly Pavilian. They were "on" that night. And so were the Deadheads doin' the 'shroom dance.
4. Yes - Going for the One Tour, 1977, LA Forum. I was deep into my progressive phase (i.e. daily pot use with the occasional dilettante delve into more "psychological" treats), so this concert was just perfect.
5. The Stones - 1975 at the Cow Palace. My first Stones show, so it was special. Though their 1989 show right after the Loma Prieta earthquake was pretty righteous, too.

I wasn't much of concert attendee but I did go to a "Day on the Green" .  I think it was the Steve Miller Band and the headliner was Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.  I remember there was an "old" couple behind us on the grass (they were probably 30) and they were just sitting on their cooler enjoying the show until CSBY came on stage.  I turned around and neither had a stitch of clothes on!  It blew me away - along with all the drugs etc in plain site.  I don't remember much else except those naked people.

My husband went to Berkeley and remembers attending a concert at the Fillmore and no one had clothes on!

 Ahhhhhh... the nekkid couple.... You forgot the bota bag. I don't remember what the hell he was wearing... but at one point (about the time The Band was on) she had a macrame bikini on....

I still remember Bill Graham introducing Jesse Colin Young... "A great way to start the morning, Jesse Colin Young."

Rolling Stones ~ Oakland Coliseum (Steel Wheels Tour) 

Etta James ~ Mountain Winery (Saratoga)

The Eagles ~ Salinas & Sacramento (yeah... saw 'em twice in the same summer)

Taj Majal ~ Tampa Bay Blues Festival (2006) & Monterey Blues Festival (2008)

Dave Mason ~ Tampa Bay Blues Festival (2007)

Joe Bonamassa ~ Monterey Blues Festival (2008)

Actually each of the blues festivals had a ton of artists who were great.... Koko Taylor, Nora Jean Bruso were outstanding in Tampa in 2007. Also saw Jerry Lee Lewis there.... Saw Lydia Pence and Cold Blood at the Monterey Blues... talk about bringing back memories!
