Alma Rivas (Demetre)

cheri, Thanks for putting together a great interactive site, Awesome!! it was so funny to hear from Teri, I didn't realize when I moved up to El dorado hills, 3 plus yrs ago, that she's in my back yard, in fact I work less than 2 miles from her!!!Well, technically I'm in her back yard, since she's lived here so long:) I look forward to seeing everyone, and wishing health and happiness to all and to the families associated. By the way, your pics with your fam. are awesome, you get better with age! hugs, Alma

Thanks Alma,

It is all of our classmates participating that makes it so Awesome. I love the pictures everyone is submitting!!! I have alot more from Rick's old website to post and I want to post "class pics" for each classmate but that will probably happen a little later.

See you this Fall!

Absolutely I remember you Edwin. I have the yearbooks at home and I will look for your picture and add it to your profile.

Thanks Marge for your comments. It has been a blast working on the site. However, it would be real dull with our all of our classmate’s profiles and comments.

See everyone in September!

Hi Everyone,

I said I was going to put the Jr. Pics on the profiles but I found too many name mistakes and the Sr. pics have the names under so I can easily match up everyone. However, I know I don't care for my Sr. picture and I am more than willing to switch out any picture you don't like -just let me know. Doree I will change yours right now.

anyone else?

Thanks for all the kudos - I am really enjoying this project and look forward to re-connecting in the fall.

Hi Cheri and everyone from class of '74
Please use my JR pic. I hate my SR pic. My son laughed so much I found him on the floor. This is a great site and I've been able to contact people I had lost contact with. Not sure about the reunion in Sept. but will be there in spirit anyway.

Hi everyone.

I'm not so sure I really want to see my old yearbook photos put on the site. Maybe there could be an option in the user profile that gives the OK to put up old yearbook photos. Then people could have an easy way to turn on/off the photo.

As for the website I think it is great to have a place just for our class and want to thank those involved for all the hard work.

On another subject. It seems that I recognize most of the names here but never really knew most the people. Of the few close friends I had back in school it seems they have not found there way here yet. For that matter it seems like I have only talked with Teri Kier once 5 years ago and then just yesterday. I did visit with John Brady a couple of times about 5 years ago and was stunned at how hard it was to recognize him. After a little while though it all seemed just like yesterday. I do miss those few friends.

These days life is busy. I'm co-ownwer of a small company which has had some hard times as of late like most businesses in this economy. I guess for the most part life is just fine. I'm not sure if I'll be coming to the reunion yet but you never know.

Anyways maybe someone will remember who I am :)

Megan

Hey everyone, I am looking forward to seeing you at the reunion. I had a yard sale at my house this weekend, and was surprised to see Lorenzo ( Butch ) Jackson there! Have'nt seen him in years. We laughed and talked alot about school days, it was great. he said he plans on being at the reunion too. I also ran into Jan Consiglio a few days ago, she hopes to be there and today I ran into Lynn Simon, she's going to try and be there. My husband and I will be there and our youngest daughter Debra who is 21 wants to go with us! She said maybe she'll see a cute guy her age there ( one of your sons if they should attend with you!!) LOL. Linda Meri Beron.

Hi Guys!
Haven't been to PG in gosh...20 years?!
does anyone know a place to stay for the reunion? Not too expensive (I'm one of the thousands of teachers just pink-slipped in CA), but not too cheap (been there...done that... was in the Peace Corps in OMG! 1980?!)
Thanks for any info you might be able to supply.

I would like to thank Teri Kier and all the other classmates who made me feel so welcome after such a long absence. the 35 year reunion was great! it must be age and a sense of mortality, 2 things that were not present in my life until recently. anyway I wanted to say thanks for having been a part of great memories, and a great life.
Doreen, Julie and Bonnie, thanks for reminding me about that great summer (everyday at lovers point) between Jr. and high school, we were so lucky to grow up in such a great place with each other.

We are fortunate in deed to carry these years in our minds and body. The best thing is to know we are chosen for this time on earth.

Each one of us is much like a pebble dropped into a still lake, the suttlety of the consentric circles eventually meet. No two ripples are alike in the pond yet we share the same purpose of creating a ripple that changes the whole in a minute way. Everyday we live we get another chance, another pebble drop into the lake to make a difference to our existance. Every day is another chance to start again or continue our work in a different way. We can choose how to explore our possibilities or not.

I love understanding each of us matter but none of us alone make the whole difference. Complicated and simple is this understanding.

And still I search for the meaning....How is it that this quiet voice makes the impact on the world as a whole.

Science has tried to explain, spritual leaders say they have the answer in the books that were spirit breathed. But the truth still is hidden from certainty in some of us who have little faith.

In others, there is no mystery, claiming this truth is free to them and all of us. If we believe with certainty the pond exists and us as pebbles are the difference.

Peace in all things. Peace in all that you touch. There is so much to know and so much we don't know.

Hello all my fellow class mates, the class of 74!

Such a great get-to-gether I had at Awakenings on September 27, 2014. This was my very first High School reunion to attend in the history of my life. My head was met with uncertainty as I pondered meeting up with those whom I barely knew from 40 years ago. Thank you all who made me feel so welcome.

It is so nice to see that age has leveled the playing field of life, accomplishments, and accreditations. We really are the same in a soulful way; with different jobs and party routines!

Mostly, I'm so happy to be healthy, happy and still have the ability to dance! Great fun one and all. Thank you for the memories. I won't be as shy about attending the 45th.

Peace to one and all.

Hey All,

Did you hear ???

They want to put a fence around the High School to protect the children!  It was on the news recently.

Doesn't that sound awful?  I think the kids should be able to run, if need be, and not be hindered by fences.  What a prison it would be.

I think we would be teaching children to be afraid.

Maybe a fence around younger children but not the high school kids.

We had it really good didn't we????

Freedom, yesss
